I am such a newbie in comparison and awed by members with jumbo giant post counts. For those of you in the big leagues, how long has you been posting and how many posts do you usually log in per day? I am struggling to make it to 1000 posts but I do have to work to feed my furbabies and keep a roof over their heads.

(20,277 posts)Discussions can get lengthy.
I don't think it's a big deal, nor is it my business.

(95,337 posts)You'd surpase me in about 3 weeks or so.
Just saying.
Honestly, not sure why they are showing them, I prefer them hidden. I can honestly say that 90% of what I posted should probably have (or probably was) ignored. So if we only counted those posts of value that I have made you'd probably have a higher post count than me.

(16,334 posts)getting to 2000 took much longer. I've been here since 2004.
On the old DU I made an attempt to respond to any post that had 0 replies. I think my post count went up pretty fast then.

(24,841 posts)it's a disgraceful thing so hurry it up and get to the 800's. edited to add that this is a joke from back in the olden days.

(72,790 posts)I used to post a lot more than I do now, especially in the Lounge where post counts can add up.
I think I once averaged 10K a year. That's no longer the case, but I guess maybe 10-20 posts a day sometimes. Sometimes I go long streches without posting at all. My posting habits have changed in the last few years.

(36,371 posts)When I joined back in 2008, I often read that 1,000 posts was the magic number one had to reach in order to be less suspect.
