I can relate. When I was a kid, I had a Siamese cat, Yum Yum. She hated everybody but me, and I loved her more than anything. Her nickname with friends and family was "The Dragon." I joined band in middle school and decided to play the oboe, mainly because it was the school's instrument so we didn't have to buy something. Anyway, Yum Yum HATED that thing. Granted, an oboe sounds like a ruptured duck when you're learning, but she really really hated the sound. When I'd practice she'd try to attack the oboe, biting the bell. I ended having to practice in the car for the next 5 years. I'm sure Charlevoix Junior-Senior High School still has that oboe studded with little kitty teeth marks on the bell.
