New cars may have alarms for kids in the back.

I get it, but I don't think an old guy like me wants that. I just saw a news story where the reporter was walking away from his Kia with his producer in the back seat. As he got to about 40 feet away, the horn started blowing and the lights flashing. Disaster averted!

But I thought back to a young me having that system when pulling up to a house on a dark street in my white Eldorado. I tell my buddies "Just hang, I'll go in and get us an 8-ball". Also known as the last time I bought coke.

1. My 7 year old car has all kinds of features that I can turn on or off at will.

As long as you remember to turn off the alarm before you score, you should be cool.

2. That kid alarm is not free to buyers

whether you have young kid(s) to transport makes no difference.
Everybody must pay the cost so that some kid left in car by a careless parent will be saved.

3. the rental car I was in last week already did have an alarm
