It's so we have to go down another aisle to find what we want. They hope we will find something new to try, mostly on staples. My Costco moved around some of their refrigerated items, some of the canned goods and paper products.

you noticed. When you shop Costco, beware they track your every movement as well as every item you touch or buy. There are retail advisory firms that track buying trends as well as a Retail Stores Demographics to enhance that Stores bottom Line.

And the changing up of the product layouts, well they spend millions on Human behavioral actions and buying habits. The overnight Stock Crews will change the whole store up in twelve hours or less.

Notice how the High Margin Items are placed, they know more about a neighborhoods buying habits than we think.

Their Secret Shopper program is Second to none. Fun to watch them in action.

a shopper only collecting data as to who, what, and where on what is happening within a Retail Store. Yes,they come with a shopping list of what would be the typical family of four would buy at that Store. And they are sampling the interactions of the Employees as well as doing some Q&A of a few employees as to product availability and location. If the Employee takes you to the Aisle or directs you in a positive manner, that scores that operation a few notches higher.

So much info one gathers as a Secret Shopper and it is all used in a positive manner.
