Is it ethical, or even possible, to specify that you dont want organs donated to a republican? Race, gender, religion - no problem. But a republican? Id roll over in my grave.

It isn't fatal, but any donations would be greatly appreciated.

(2,958 posts)To be denied a life saving organ based on politics is too far. Look at it this way. Maybe your liberal organ will change the heart of a republican recipient.
I will say, there is something to the idea of picking up habits from your donor. Before my transplant, I could not, would not, eat pineapple. After the transplant, I could not get enough. Same with cream of wheat. Weird
