Organ donation

Is it ethical, or even possible, to specify that you don’t want organs donated to a republican? Race, gender, religion - no problem. But a republican? I’d roll over in my grave.

To be denied a life saving organ based on politics is too far. Look at it this way. Maybe your liberal organ will change the heart of a republican recipient.

I will say, there is something to the idea of picking up habits from your donor. Before my transplant, I could not, would not, eat pineapple. After the transplant, I could not get enough. Same with cream of wheat. Weird

while going through everything with the donor organization that thought never entered my mind. It's both a traumatic and fulfilling experience for the family.

8. It's a throwback to the time

when blood was labelled as to whether it came from a black person or a white person. Not ethical in my mind.
