I feel that I have aged in roughly the same time frame as Harrison Ford, so in a sense we have grown old together. While his roles have been diverse and many, I most preferred him as "Indiana Jones," the archaeologist-adventurer who may have forever changed perceptions of academics as boring, stuffy, out-of-touch people. Ford has also done some far-out stuff too, like Cowboys and Aliens. Happy birthday to a great guy!

For some reason, I'm reminded of a Jonathan Creek episode featuring a marquee playbill to a production listing its stars in huge letters:

STEVE MARTIN
HARRISON FORD

Which turned out to be a dud, starring Steve Harrison and Martin Ford.

American Graffiti, directed by George Lucas
Ford had a small part but he was memorable, even then. He went on to much bigger parts and movies with George Lucas and Steven Spielberg.

Happy Birthday Harrison Ford!
