SubaruTV ads - the car for bad drivers?

Is that the theme of their TV ads? I think so, because that’s what they seem to be selling: if you’re a distracted or inexperienced driver, our car may save your life.

So, do bad drivers see those ads and think, “hey, I’m a shitty driver. Maybe I need a Subaru.”

and every single one of them was complete SHIT.

So maybe they expect the bad drivers to wreck their cars before they find out shitty they are.

One of our sons had one that he traded in with 300,000 miles. The car was running perfectly, but he couldn't stand that it wouldn't die.

A '90 whose engine blew up at around 90K.

A 2010 Forester, brand spanking new, spent most of it's three years with us in the shop because the transaxle leaked.

I bought a Subaru Crosstrek. I've always wanted a Subaru, for several reasons, but I was pleased to realize that the new safety features MIGHT prevent a similar accident.

Although I have vowed to never again drive home after taking a cross-country red-eye flight.

avoidance system used in other car makers autos, so they push the safety message in the ads to show the Subaru dominance with the auto-braking and lane departure systems.

Consumer Reports said the 2018 Forester was best of the lot for senior drivers. I got one and love it.

It’s just a mater of when and how often. Personally I want every safety feature available. One of them might someday save your life or someone else.

I have a single chargeable accident when my pickup slipped out of gear while unoccupied. That said in 59 years I have made mistakes and would welcome such safety features-you don't have to be a shitty driver-every trip you make hundreds of minor decisions. Any decision can be costly. I like the idea of being a better driver even if the vehicle is helping.
