Assuming that you might believe in supernatural phenomenon such as ghosts, do you think ghosts are actually spirits, or do you think theyre temporal anomalies that are bleeding in from higher dimensions?
Aristus
(66,386 posts)But if I did, I like the explanation I've heard from some who assert that ghosts are the manifestation of deceased people who aren't aware that they're dead.
Also, the idea that ghosts exist through the emotional resonance of the circumstances of their deaths is intriguing.
You know that video games are something that are really interesting. Do you believe that video games over time will be us realizing that we have been controlling ourselves from a different dimension the whole time?

(66,386 posts)Remember the playoffs in 1995? I'll never forget that. I was doing a play at the time, and the games were all during performances. Everyone backstage had a transistor radio crammed to their ear listening to the game. The excitement was palpable, and the let-down when they lost was tragic.

I have a theory that chocolate excites the same pleasure centers of the brain that wine does. Is this true? I say this because I offer my hubby chocolate when he is a bit grumpy and it seems to cheer him right up...

(66,386 posts)Flavors as mellow as chocolate and as intense as a good wine trigger the release of serotonin. Just as do sensations as light as a caress and as intense as sex.
Consumables are an especially important trigger of serotonin, since the majority of serotonin receptors are in the GI tract. (The popular perception is that they are in the brain, but that's just where the effect of serotonin is interpreted as pleasure.)

(63,912 posts)and I got the same awful reaction from my liver. I presume my liver enzymes went up the way wine made them do, according to my gastro doc when he saw my blood test. I was thinking i would report the chocolate phenomenon to my doctor's office but my guess is that he would just say "well, duh..."
