The “I just put Person A on and they make their point, and then I put Person B on, and they make their opposing point, and that’s that! I’ve done my job! It’s not my job to ask any probing questions or try to fact-check anything” guy.

Even at this late date, even after he occasionally does ask a sensible question now and then, if I were head of MSNBC, he’d be the first person whose job I’d give to somebody else.
