(54,436 posts)Starting back when it was a late night meet up for teenage band members (Steak in a Sack!), and there was a small airfield for single-engined planes across the street.
I guess that doesn't count, huh?

(54,436 posts)The rural northern Virginia of my childhood is completely gone. Bailey's is still there, but no longer a landmark to be guided by.
Just imagine what that original 526 acres of prime Washington suburbs land would be worth now. Hotshot residences, hi tech companies and shopping malls. Today that land is worth more than Bill Gates and Warren Buffett combined.

Ive been to the Sunflower River Blues Festival several times over the years. Love Clarksdale. Cathead, Ground Zero, Po Monkeys (now gone)...
