no one will be allowed to wear the baseball cap backwards. Not sure what the punishment will be, but it will be severe.

Doesn't anyone get it? Doesn't anyone who wears the baseball cap backwards ever look in a mirror or at a picture? NO ONE looks good that way. Trust me on this. Turn the freaking cap back the way it should be worn.

1. It really does look stupid.

Usually a tuft of hair sticks out of the opening above the adjustment strap and it looks like the wearer was drunk when they put the cap on. There should be a way to design them so it's impossible to wear them backwards if social ostracism doesn't work.

4. As a person who at times does wear his ball cap backwards,

There are times that it is actually appropriate and necessary such as...
1.when one is welding the brim doesn't fit in front of the helmet and it keeps sparks from going down the collar of ones shirt.
2.riding a bicycle while wearing a "Giro" style Mt. Bike helmet, as they already have a sun visor and the brim keeps your neck from getting sun burned.
3.when you are doing certain construction jobs such as working with fiberglass insulation, drywall finishing,or using certain types of paint and varnish or painting a automobile...the mask/respirator is in the way and again the brim provides protection from stuff going down the back of ones shirt.

Now as far as those Flat brimmed hats that are worn at a 30 degree angle off to the side...a "proper" Truckers/Country style/Farm hat brim is bowed and faces forward to keep the sun outta ones eyes

8. Occasionally, yes.

But it is increasingly rare these days to see anyone wearing a cap with the bill to the front. Heck, maybe I should print up little certificates that say CONGRATULATIONS on wearing your cap properly! and hand them out when I actually see someone wearing the cap correctly. And I'd be willing to make exceptions for construction workers at the site, but what percentage of the workforce is employed in those kinds of jobs?

But there is a style to wearing the proper cap backwards. It is no big deal to me some people look cool which is the point(you can also turn it sideways). Myself I don't look good in a cap forward or backward I usually only wear one when my hair grows too long.

That's a N70 (1999), D70 (2005), and the D750 I just purchased. Nikon doesn't call it a pop up flash, but I am old enough that is the term I use.

When the danged thing pops up, it hits the bill of my cap. If my cap is on securely the flash is not strong enough to lift it and stops without shining the light where it is needed. If my cap is on loosely, it can flip my cap off.

6. I wear ball caps daily. And when I run my boats, I have to flip it around, else it will fly off.

But I only wear fitted hats that look a lot more respectable than the adjustable or trucker look hats.

But now that we are in the 90's, the ball caps will be replaced by buff head wraps, sun shield hats from Columbia, or just shave my head again and stay under the Bimini top
