I thought Infinity War was a decent movie despite being repetitive and pointless. Endgame is better than IW, fortunately. I had a few qualms with it, though. Thankfully, the long running time breezes by.

It wasn't at all what I expected in that it wasn't wall-to-wall action. In fact, it was more like Ocean's 11 than it was like Infinity War.

And it was definitely a satisfying resolution that left you feeling somewhat spent and exhausted at end (but not in a bad way).

The Russos have a masterful four movie run (Winter Soldier, Civil War, Infinity War, and Endgame).

Waiting for the next MCU movie has been a wonderful experience for my daughter and myself. Some clunkers during the 22 movie run, but, in general, a very enjoyable ride. The only thing remotely close to it are the original eight Harry Potter movies. The MCU functions more like a television series than a movie series.

I am a DC fanboy since I was 10. Hat tip to Marvel and Mr. Feige and the rest of the creative teams. You won.

Now what is the next big thing?

When I got home afterwards I had to just sit awhile and mull it over.

The final hour is the best in the entire superhero genre.

It provided me not only with everything I wanted, but a ton of stuff I wanted but didn't know I wanted. So many set-ups from the previous movies were teed off with absolute perfection.

Whatever happens to the franchise now is anyone's guess, but for this first (now) complete chapter, it checked every box I could imagine.
