He was so puzzled to see the bird and I just busted out laughing at him, making a big mess. Hope I can get all the coffee off my keyboard.

2 of my good friends in CA had a pair of them. The female mimicked my friend Sharon's voice perfectly and Shadow the male mimicked her husband Jerry's voice perfectly. I was staying with them for a few days after doing an audit in their area and would constantly be running into the other room thinking Sharon or Jerry were calling me when it would just be the birds. They were so good at it, they constantly fooled my friends as well and would laugh at them when they fell for one of their pranks.

door, we would drop our keys on a glass shelf. He would mimic that to a tee. He would trick me several times a day, and when I came out he would laugh and laugh.
He was such a happy joyful, chatty bird. But I could not pick him up, unless he got stuck somewhere or ended up on the floor. He would bite only me, my husband (another Jerry) would hold him and rub his belly he was definitely a man's bird.

5. Shadow and Mister could only be touched by Sharon or Jerry.

They'd come right up to me and talk to me and laugh with me and they'd take food from me, but I was risking a finger if I tried to touch them. If Sharon or Jerry told them to give me loves, they'd fly to my shoulder and give me kisses but they could not be touched by anyone else's fingers = or else.

10. We knew a couple who had a African parrot and one night they were having a party.....

there were about 10 of us at the party and that parrot would just start screaming at my husband. We all were laughing as he was the only one the bird would scream at. Roger, my husband would walk out of the room, come back in and the bird would just start screaming. He would just pop his head in the room and the bird would scream. No other person had ever made the bird do that either. My husband is usually the person that all pets love. Dogs, and cats all would warm up to Roger very quickly, so we all thought it was a riot that the bird could not stand him.
