YESSSSSS! Dog Abandoned On Camera Can't Stop Smiling After Being Adopted

He's SO happy now 😍

BY KRISTEN WARFIELD

Just a few months ago, Snoop the Staffordshire bull terrier was the loneliest dog in the world.

His owner had dumped him, along with all of the dog’s belongings, on the side of a road in England — and it was all caught on camera. The footage, which made its rounds on social media, shows poor Snoop running after the car, clearly heartbroken to be left all alone.

(Screenshot from heartbreaking video of his cruel abandonment)

After going through so much in the public eye, however, Snoop finally has something to smile about: He’s been adopted. His new dad, Laurence Squire, couldn’t be happier to be the lucky person who brings Snoop home.

“One evening I was watching the news when Snoop’s story came on,” Squire said in a statement. “What happened to him was shocking, and it was clear from the footage — in the way that he tried to get back into the car — that he was a loyal dog.”

Snoop is definitely loyal — so loyal, in fact, that his rescuers from the RSPCA say he’s prone to separation anxiety.

Luckily, Snoop’s new dad works from home, so they’ll be able to spend a ton of time together.

While it’s only been a few weeks, Snoop is already settling in beautifully, and his new life couldn’t be any more perfect for him. Rachel Butler, an RSPCA spokesperson, said Snoop seemed to be extremely comfortable with his new family on a recent home visit.

“The love and attention he is getting now from Laurence is wonderful,” Butler said. “Snoop is living like a king.”

Snoop is napping, playing and running around just like the happy dog he was always meant to be — but still, he doesn’t let his new dad stray too far from his sights.

“I thought that he seemed like the perfect dog for me and that I could offer him the home he deserved,” Squire said. “As soon as he came into the house for the first time, he jumped on the sofa and it was as though he decided that was the space for him! He loves to lie on the back of the sofa and if I put the fire on, he will curl up in front of it.”

I remember this story. I was in tears when I saw how frantic he was while he was being abandoned and how badly he wanted to get back into the car. It's still hard for me to watch that video even though he got his happy ending. I wish they'd been able to catch the monster who did that to this beautiful boy. I hope that karma bites him in the ass, but good. I'm so happy that Snoop has such an awesome new home and human now.

I don't understand how dogs can trust again after being treated that horribly. So happy he's with someone who deserves him now.

His name is Shanz...pronounced Shnaaz.. like in blaaz not blaze, but as in oz....

Actually Shanz is one of the kindest dogs ever...that is ever...All he wants is to follow my friend around, be petted and fed. At first, he seems a bit forward..but again, he is kind. and looks like Snoop. I saw him this evening. Quite a story too..some other time..but I did feed him something, of course. And petted him too. Of Course!!

Oh and FUCK the previous owner who abandoned him. I’m not sure if karma’s real, but if it is I also hope it bites him in the ass!

we adopted a dog who had been abandoned in a similar way. Her owners moved away and left her behind. Our neighbors' adult daughter brought it to the neighbor's house. They called us, after hearing we had just lost a dog.

That beautiful little girl (an all-black, purebred long-haired dachshund) was with us for twelve years. During that period, I always said that if I ever met her previous owner, I was not sure which I would do first: thank them for the dog they were stupid enough to abandon, or punch them out for endangering that sweet little girl.

But I would have done both.

I hope that the lowlife who dumped Snoop has nothing but bad luck. I'm so happy that Snoop found a loving new owner. He's a beautiful boy and looks so happy now.
