Tech whiz makes a fool of himself mastering the iPhone's "Touch ID." The tech whiz would be ME.

I've always considered myself to be "tech savvy."

Just purchased an iPhone 6s.

Set up Touch ID. Got all of the "looking GOOD" messages so I thought I was ready to roll.

And every time I tried to use it, I thought "THIS DOESN'T WORK."

And it didn't, because I kept tapping the fingerprint on the screen instead of the home button. I figured it out via trial and error and then came here to absolve myself of my shameful ignorance by making a public confession, firm in the knowledge that I wouldn't face any additional scorn or ridicule beyond what I've already experienced...RIGHT???

I had with fingerprint recognition. Lol. Honestly, since the screen is "touch" sensitive, it makes perfect sense to try and read your fingerprint directly on the screen.

As long as you figured it out after 1 or 2 tries there is nothing to be embarrassed about.

I am fond of noting that while my ancestors had to worry about polio and the Visigoths, they never had to face the horror of getting a printer installed on Windows Vista.
