She was a rescue and would try to scarf down any food near her. Not sure how I taught her exactly, because it was very easy and quick... But, now she waits and focuses on me until I say "okay" and then eats. I've refined things over the years so that I can simply wink or nod at her and that means "okay".

Watching this dog's eyes remind me of my dog... I often wonder what the hell is she thinking while waiting?
