Guys, I think I found the source of adult ADD.

Commercials.

Thesis: A lifetime of commercials leads to productive mind wandering. Television programs us to pay attention to the big show and it's the commercials that finally release us from the mind grip. It's a pattern that is reinforced over time, until, finally, we reach a certain age when we can anticipate the next scene and our mind wanders to more fruitful ponderings without the commercial triggers. Before we know it, a second set of commercials come on and we have no idea why there's a funeral pyre for the person you thought was the protagonist.

Conclusion: Life would be easier if we were all given remote controls with a rewind button.

get worse... Add text messaging and twitter and I think our National IQ will sink to the bottom--even among those well educated.

And our news cycles are getting shorter, giving us little time to digest and properly react to the things we see and hear.
