In the wild, baby elephants have their tall mothers and aunts to stand under whether it's sunny, rainy, or cold. The orphans at @DSWT don't have their moms to stand under, to the keepers make up for that by using umbrellas and raincoats.

2. Baby elephant ears are super, super sensitive. Their moms and aunts provide so much shade. The keepers at @DSWT try their best to make up for the absence of mom by applying sunscreen to the orphan's ears.
