...the letter "s" must have an apostrophe before that "s."
I am particularly annoyed by names on mailboxes or signs that do this - "The Smith's" or "The McGregor's."
There was an interesting discussion somewhere (maybe here?) of how the plural of "guys" should be spelled and pronounced. I use "guys' " and pronounce it the same as the singular. Can't stand "guyses."
