Rami Malek wins the BAFTA Award for Best Actor......

Actor, Rami Malek, took another award for portraying the iconic rocker, Freddie Mercury....Now on to the Academy Awards. I cannot wait.

Watching outakes as to how the LIVE AID concert was actually reconstructed, the film nailed it, down to the studded armband Freddie wore.

The actual LIVE AID sequence with Queen...[link:http://

Was amazing. When it was recreated in the film, I was floored. Everything carefully recreated to make you think you were actually watching the real thing, down to Freddie's movements and facial expressions.

I will be owning this film after March 4th.

I went twice and no one was in line but when I went to the window I was told "sold out". My sister figured that probably people bought tickets on line. I gave it a third try and made it in! Success! The women behind me in line saw it twice before and one was in her 80s. After the film the woman sitting next to me said she really enjoyed it but never even heard of Queen before.

I did not know what to expect on opening weekend. I was floored. Stunned. Cheers, applause, and a standing ovation as the credits rolled. WOW.

I will own a copy and finally be able to share it with my hubby on Tuesday. Thank goodness for surround sound, so he can experience it, too!

Makes watching movies at home like a theater experience. Especially with films with great sound effects.

It was well done and Rami Malek was amazing. I do remember the Live Aid concert and recall that I saw pretty much all of it on TV. At that time I can't say I was a big fan of Queen, so I believe Live Aid was my first chance to see them on stage performing.

I was wondering in the movie, does Rami Malek actually sing the Freddie Mercury parts, or does he lip sync on prerecordings? Either way, his performance is awesome and deserving of the awards he's getting.

and other tribute singers in order to give his performance the realness when you see his throat move, the breathing, the facial features, the emotions, everything. Otherwise, it would have been mimicking and fake looking.
