I keep getting text messages that are sent to my phone number at work. Our phone system converts them to text and sends me an email that provides the message and the number from which it was sent.
It appears to be from a local number, but it's so easy to mask phone numbers, who knows if it really is local. I don't recognize the number.
The message in the text is always the same: "Sorry, I can't talk right now."
I have the ability to respond to the text using our phone system, but I haven't and don't intend to.
Has anyone else experienced this?

(58,670 posts)I think you are right to be skeptical.
I get a lot of spam urging me to "Quick! We need to confirm your unsubscribe now!" Sounds like the same kind of thing, along with the ones begging me to please stop sending them nude pictures of myself.
Annoying, but I recently clicked on an unrelated "unsubscribe" requests. My spam went up about 200%.
