5 crimes you are picturing wrong:

http://www.cracked.com/article_26133_5-types-crime-everybody-pictures-completely-wrong.html

5. A 6-year-study found that the average bank-heist nets only $20,000. The biggest bank-heist in that study was $60,000.

4. Most white collar criminals are morons, not geniuses. Most slide into white collar crimes because they don't realize that their scheming and financial tricks are illegal.
(Why am I thinking of Trump right now???)

3. The majority of gun-deaths is suicides.

2. According to a study, the terrorist/amok tactic of driving a vehicle into a crowd is spreading in society like a cultural meme. People see other people doing this in the news and think it's a good method to kill and harm people.

1. Professional assassins for hire, those determined killing-machines with laser-like focus, do not exist. Assassins are ordinary people. Assassins for hire don't do this as a regular job. And most assassins are mentally healthy.
(Btw, the trailer for John Wick 3 drops today.)

There have been many bank heists in the US that netted millions of dollars. This guy based his statement on a 6 year study of bank robberies in Italy.

I can't say I agree with #4 either. While I'm sure there are white collar criminals who just aren't aware of the law and others that just use ignorance as an excuse, I think there are plenty that know exactly what they are doing. Bernie Madoff comes to mind. There are those who know what tbey are doing is illegal, but also know that prosecution of white collar crimes isn't a high priority and prison terms are generally light. They hide their money well in multiple countries and just ride their gravy train for as long as the can.

The average bank heist is tens of thousands of dollars. That doesn't mean that the biggest is tens of thousands of dollars.

Yes, IN ITALY, between 2000 and 2006, the biggest was $60K. That's not a very representative sample. But I would agree that most bank robberies are in the tens of thousands, not hundreds of thousands or millions. Just the fact that physical dollar bills are bulky and you can only pack and carry so much at once.

Going by the article I linked to, there haven't been any super big bank robberies in the US since 1997, when there were 3 for over $20 Million each. I'm guessing there have been considerable upgrades in security.

or maybe it's just easier to rob people via the internet, which of course was a toddler in 1997.

Even if there were 50 small time morons committing "white-collar crimes" and getting caught for every 1 who gets away with it (or whatever the ratio is), doesn't mean there aren't some very significant and very sophisticated white collar criminals out there who can be safely dismissed. For medicare fraud alone we lose around twice as much as we spend on healthcare research, and that's only one small segment of white collar crime. The fact that most who engage in it are small time idiots is not of much consequence.
