I suppose, in the 90s, with only three major networks and no "social media" her show was the one poked needles at politics. But now there are many, biting.

(3,145 posts)dropping it into a contemporary setting and hoping it will grab viewers the same as it used to doesn't always work. Just as it would be bizarre to watch a reboot of Seinfeld or Cheers.
Totally get the nostalgia element (that's why I tuned into the first episode) but sometimes it's better to leave hit shows in their respective eras.
