I may need to get involved with a family intervention.

Mother gave birth and left the babies in a hole that she plugged up with sand and grass. She was expected back after 24 hours to feed the newborns, but missed her expected visitation. I can tell because every blade of grass is exactly the same as it was the day before based on a photographic comparison. That's not all irregular for a rabbit to extend feeding times to 48 hours, but, I'm concerned.

So, I'm going to check again tomorrow and if it looks like the hole is undisturbed, I plan to open it up and feed the babies with an eye drop. Just don't know what to feed them, and how much.

Any ideas?

I find it's better to leave this to people who are certified in wildlife rehab.

My vet's office is affiliated with wildlife rescue - I was there one time when they came to pick up some rescued baby squirrels who were well enough to be released. They work with vets trained in treating wildlife.
