(at the 2:36 mark) Is that one of those Cake Fails? "It should say, 'Happy birthday, Fella.'" "OK, got it." Or maybe Felon is the dog's name, which would be awesome.

Sweet video! I love seeing these stories, although I'm more of a cat person myself... dogs are so needy, plus I live in a small place. But maybe someday a dog will be in my life. Until then, I'll enjoy videos like these!

Not knowing when his birthday is, they celebrate the day they got him. Best I can make out his name is Felon.

At first I thought that the two dogs were Hasidic Jews,
but looked again and saw the were metrosexual urban
dwellers with goPro cameras to record their every move.

I've had several rescues. I have an elderly one right now. All this is true. They know they've been rescued and are overjoyed at having a comfortable home and people who love them. They're exuberant over new treats, new toys, going for walks in neighborhoods and the park. They think everything is wonderful!

I've loved all my rescues deeply. I'll be getting another one, when this one passes on. Maybe two of 'em. It's expensive, but it's worth it. I save a life, and they enrich my life so much.

I don't buy dogs from pet shops or breeders. Not while there are so many dogs that people throw away like trash or just don't care about.

We brought home a dog this summer who'd been living on a chain. He got off it (sometimes) when his kind but busy owner got home from work in time to take him on a quick run on the ATV. Jagger was on his 2nd Craigslist ad: the owner wanted him to go to an outdoor home, was afraid someone would take him as a fighting dog!

His love, loyalty, and gratitude is boundless.

He did indeed save us.

It said on her papers the previous owner had a small place with no yard. All she wants to do is run, run, run and I live on 40 fenced acres so she is having the time of her life plus my sweetie Husky mix dog loves her. It feels so good to rescue a dog, but they give so much back.

a little quiet and hesitant; but she was very sweet, and loved to be loved on. Then, on her third morning in our house, she woke up absolutely filled with joy. She ran all over the house, jumping and playing and giving kisses and wagging her tail like crazy.

I thought about it and realized that it was the first time she'd been anywhere longer than 2 days since being rescued from the people who originally purchased her to breed her (doubtful she got much real love and attention in the year she lived with them). The rescue organization picked her up and she stayed in foster care for two days, then traveled to my state, then stayed one day at the rescue, then stayed two days at the vet for her spay surgery, then one more day in rescue. We were originally going to pick her up after she fully healed, but the rescue was full and one of the puppies she came in with kept wrestling with her, so they were afraid her incision wouldn't heal.

I think that third morning it dawned on her that she was home, and that all the love we showered on her the first two days would continue for the rest of her life. I could hug her and kiss her a thousand times a day and it still wouldn't be enough. To me, she is perfect.
