Original Louis Prima version (with lyrics) was first recorded in 1936; instrumental version by Benny Goodman was 1937, but the 1938 Carnegie Hall version is the one is probably best known.

I love enough of current popular music. Then again, the current New Year's Eve shindigs televised... The performers. The songs. Ai-yi-yi! And the guests know ALL the words to the songs!

And Gene Krupa was an amazing drummer. This version of "Sing, Sing, Sing" features him. This is the only kind of music that actually makes me want to get up and dance. Much before my time, but I'm an old soul...

It's a great piece of music, great arrangement, and damn near infectious in terms of moving...

Hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did.
