I can't believe anyone would be so low

as to steal lighted deer lawn decorations ..... this happened in my neighborhood recently. I saw it on our local Nextdoor web site. A woman said her two lighted deer statues, 7 ft. and 4 ft. tall, were stolen from her front yard. These are not the inflatable kind. You'd think someone would need a pickup truck to haul these away. How can anyone be so low. What would you do with them, anyway, you can't display them in front of your house, you'd just be advertising that your'e the thief!

More like wire frames with lights wrapped around them. There's variations, but something along the lines of this, I imagine...

group of scum bags that roamed my and surrounding neighborhoods stealing anything made of metal. They took lawn furniture and fixtures, AC equipment, even stripped out electrical wiring and plumbing installations.

We have so many security cameras on this street that someone would have to be crazy to steal Christmas ornaments.

and free standing. I had to have someone solder on some pieces to let me lock it down as I caught someone standing over it one evening years ago. He denied wanting to do anything but get a closer look, but....

It wasn't an expensive decoration originally, but irreplaceable now. To think someone might steal it is almost worse than actually losing it.
