For the first 22 months of this godforsaken administration, it seemed impossible to post something anti-Trump and not attract some pushback. You could almost set your watch by the appearance of the usual suspects on your own posts or the posts of others. Even for the most egregious applied dumbassery, there seemed to be at least one or two Trumpians who would chip in to try to explain why what Trump had just said or done wasn't really so bad, or the ever-reliable "What about" post.
Lately, though, in the last week, I'd say, the pushback posts have dried up. Where I could count on a handful of eye-rolling posts every morning and every afternoon/evening, there's been nothing. Maybe one or two in a fractious day, but not much more than that. Are the Trumpistas as exhausted by the constant drama as the rest of us? Did the mid-term whomping the Republicans just got chasten them, if only temporarily?
I'm glad to see it, however long it lasts. What's everyone else's experience lately? Is your wingnut relative or acquaintance as strident as ever?

(5,935 posts)I post maybe one or two political posts on Facebook each week, and I enjoy the recent lack of Trumpsters replying to me. It seems to me that they're not posting as much praise for the President, especially in the past week.

(3,212 posts)Me three. On FB, and this weirdo forum I help mod has had a slight slow down on talk back to non-pro-Trump posts lately.
I think the Ivanka email breach shut a lot of people up the last couple of days, especially.
Breaking the "her emails" think was pretty big, I think. Now if anyone says "her emails," I say "Ivanka's?" If they say, "lock her up," I say, "Ivanka?"

(23,685 posts)as not honoring the Veterans on Veterans Day ticked a lot of his supporters off. I also wouldnt discount the big Congressional pick up the Dems had. Made him seem to be all hat no horse.
