omg, yes My husband would call Charter every week trying to get them to string cable in our neighborhood. His effort finally paid off. Charter sent us a letter telling us we were locked in at the original price FOREVER, because we we such good customers. Then they sold out to suddenlink, darn it.

We ended up having cable run in every room but the kitchen.

4. Not Quite Yet

The site was launched on Inauguration Day 2001. (Jan 20, i believe.)

So we long timers will be hitting 18 years early next year.

so not quite 18, soon. I can't remember what time of year I signed up. I know I was entirely po'd about bush v Gore. I remember searching for websites that had news I could use. I found Buzzflash, Smirking Chimp and DU.
