Question about a Gilligans island episode.

Question about a Gilligans island episode.

The one called “the friendly physician.”.

The mad doctor took all the castaways to his nearby island In his boat. The castaways manage to get out from under the control of the doctor and his assistant Igor. And turned the doctor and Igor into a cat and dog.

This is the question: Why didn’t the castaways use the doctor’s boat to get back to civilization?

( I got to thinking about this show in the wee hours yesterday and got scared. Sheesh! )

But why did it sink? No cause is shown. I guess it sank because it had to in order to keep the show going.
