I know that the phones are our best defense against abusive situations. But, seriously, if I had to access mine quickly and discretely, I couldn't do it. Just getting through the password would expose me. So, I was wondering if people had apps or settings they use to get around these obstacles.

Here is one thing I did find on the net that people can use. You can use your smart phone as a surveillance camera, with motion detecting capabilities. Do not know anything about the programs, but if you do a search on youtube you'll find several options. Just find the one that will work on your camera.

1. Fingerprint to unlock phone

Obviously your phone must have this hardware option, but is becoming fairly common.

On some phones, you can configure camera access without unlocking the phone. That would give you quicker access to make a video recording.
