I wish that I had taken the opportunity to see more of Japan when I was stationed in Korea for a couple years.

Sadly all I saw was an airport stop over in Tokyo and a night in Okinawa.

It is beautiful. I lived in Japan for several years. It’s a wonderful country as are the people.

I only went from Nikko in the north to Nara in the south, but what I saw was spectacular.

**on edit--I looked. Miyazaki is in southern Kyushu. We never made it that far south, unfortunately!

(Do they really say "konnichi-wa, y'all" down there?)

Lived in Tokyo area. My dad would take us driving all over the place, especially in the spring.
Went to Nikko on vacation too.

My brother lived in Sagami Otsuka, between Tokyo and Yokohama. Suburban middle-of-nowhere, but apparently at least affordable.
