Joan Jett w/ surviving Nirvana members, "Smells Like Teen Spirit" (Cal Jam, Oct. 6)

After teasing the possibility, the Foo Fighters presented the audience at their Cal Jam festival with a six-track Nirvana reunion last night (Oct. 6). Surviving members Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear were joined by Deer Tick’s John McCaulay for “Serve the Servants,” “Scentless Apprentice” and “In Bloom,” before Joan Jett took over for “Breed,” “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and “All Apologies,” with Brodie Dalle making an appearance for the final track.

I know Dave likes being the front man for the Foo Fighters, but he's a hell of a drummer. It's always nice to see him back on the kit.
