Currently resting due to Dr.'s orders: Binge-watching "Liberty's Kids"

I have had the DVD set for years - my husband watched them as a YA and recommended them.

It's actually quite good and I've learned a lot. (Or remembered a lot I had forgotten?)

It's pretty complex and nuanced for a kid's show.

Overall, I'm impressed.

And, some big names played the voice talents:

Walter Cronkite, Ben Stiller, Billy Crystal, Dustin Hoffman, Whoopi, Michael Douglas and even Liam Neeson!

Anybody else ever watch this show?

It makes me sad and proud at the same time.

I love teaching history, and it's pretty good stuff. I tried it last year with a fairly advanced 2nd grade class and, except for a few episodes (the Phyllis Wheatley ones), it didn't work with the youngest set.

surprised when it is done well what little kids will enjoy ...or at least we were!! It was nice to watch along sometimes I can't say I saw it all but they did . Enjoy!
Picked it up used at a yard sale for a few $ and that was a long time ago .
But I still remember it because it was a lot of dvds in the pack so we had the set for a long time and we donated to a thrift shop after they were all done with it ( teens now) it's not time sensitive and hoping some other kids are watching those dvds now.
