The black crowes and a ten pound meatloaf a ramble

Yesterday for dinner I actually mixed up ten pounds of burger. And produced a edible meatloaf with my wife by my side telling me we need more bread crumbs and ketchup. I split them into two meatloafs to bake my wife’s idea she is smart yes I over married.

Anyway our sons friends stayed for dinner the sisters six siblings that range in age from 14 to 4 I invited them as they and our sons went to community pool. And I have a big soft spot for these young ladies. They remind me of my brothers as we had five boys in our family. And our sons are so fortunate to have such decent loving friends.

I love it when they all are here as several kids hit the Xbox and others play with the furry boys. The house is full of noise good vibes I have a rule you never have to ask for anything out of fridge. Just clean up after yourselves and watch the chocolate lab land shark. They got home from the pool and kids are hungry so the cheese and ham come out for a pre dinner snack.

And as my wife and I sat playing 500 rummy our son was figuring out could I been so blind by the black crowes on guitar. And I looked at my wife and asked do you remember going to see the crowes together as young married couple ,our oldest daughter who was maybe two spent the night with the grandparents. So we were trying to remember what year that was perhaps 89. I do remember it was outdoors and it rained and my wife and I stood under my old army poncho that day. I used to wonder how I married such a awesome woman and it would just zap my head space and timing ,and it still does today as at moments I look at her.
