(14,559 posts)We used to have a spider that would drop down in front of our windshield from our big pepper tree and scold us for getting home so late after a night out clubbing.
We named him George and it lasted for years..so his disdain for our late night romps must have been passed down to his generations of spiders.

(35,730 posts)I have one who has lived under the windowsill of my kitchen sink. He and his family have been there for years, loyally catching gnats off the fresh tomatoes I bring in.
So the other day my brother, who is a landlord, was complaining about a tenant who sublet. The next time I was at my sink, I noticed an all new, very big spider had moved in under the windowsill. Sublet?--or did he kick the little spider family out?
Oh well, at least mine don't lecture me.
