I need a little help paying for it.
I've never been a frequent poster here, but I've always found DU to be a supportive community. I'm hoping to lean on a little bit of that support.
On July 25th, I went to my doctor with lightheadedness and stomach problems. It turned out to be Stage II Colon Cancer. I was immediately put in the hospital for surgery. Even though the surgery went well, my recovery has been moving slowly, and they extended my stay from four days to six. I've been on bed rest since.
I start chemo on the 13th. I'm looking at a 6 month course, with treatments every week. After that, there's check ups every 6 months for the rest of my life.

(6,797 posts)because I'm going to see a neurologist in September for the same symptoms. I had a colonoscopy a couple years ago so maybe not the same thing. But to raise your spirits a little my brother had stage 2 colon cancer a few years back after everything he is fine now. Sending healing thoughts your way.

(210 posts)Good luck to you too.
The symptoms I had were related initially to Low Blood Volume; fatigue, light headedness, and a combination of my blood pressure dropping while my heart rate spiked when I would exert myself. My doctor insisted I have an abdominal MRI, and away I went to the hospital. If you see any of this going on, go get checked out.
