after having taken care of my father for a few years I understand how people's ideas and emotions can come into play about the care of a loved one (or not so loved one) toward the end...

sometimes insurance/inheritance money muddies people's ideas, sometimes it is just conflict of interest...

I hope for all elderly/infirmed persons to get the very best care possible

The guy is just iconic and his comic style make him a unique fixture on whatever he showed up in.

I hope the familial issues can be resolved but I'm afraid it may be too late.

Joy. TV today is all violence, sex, and excess.

How we looked forward to spending that hour together, laughing! We always got all the jokes - even the kids understood the jokes and laughed!

and that Tim should probably be where he's at.

I may have become a teevee addict during those days, still living with family age, watching that show and related shows of the day. I laughed so hard... given the script format that was industry standard back then, he was a masterful genius in coloring way outside the lines while obeying the rules when he wasn't outright breaking them. And we were fortunate that he ended up in that troupe when he did. There were so many breaking new ground back then, a transition from Vaudeville... he is one of the leaders in his profession.

I hope this problem is resolved soon, for the better.

Tim was a one-on. He had control of the skit and must have beat any records of the time they had to delay the progress of the skit because the audience AND actors were laughing so hard, the skit would have lost its effect if they'd continued. I always believed those skits weren't written as presented, but he embellished them as he went along. Perfect timing.

I dearly loved him and the others in that cast. However, I'm being kind in that if Tim has dementia or Alzheimer's, it would be hard to separate from some of his characters. He was that good. May he be able to find some humor wherever he now resides. So unfortunate that the family is feuding over his care. He wouldn't like that.

but when they did the real skit in front of the live audience Tim Conway was ALWAYS the first to run off script......then Harvey would do something to “outdo” Tim and all would just start laughing and it was great if the skit did go to a megshift plan.

I never heard of any in-fighting with the cast and you never saw any tension between the members. Carol had to be fun to work with, as well. I think I have a CD of out-takes somewhere. I need to dig it out and get my mind off Trump.
