On Valentines Day we alternate between that and When Harry Met Sally, for which I believe we were the inspiration.
Wagners a little too German for my tastes, though I admire the skill.

(66,381 posts)The essentially Germanic nature of the music seemed to be at odds with the largely British (with some French) subject matter. On the other hand, the film's Gothic feel was amply served by Wagner's music.

Especially the sunsets!
I was captivated by it the very first time I saw it. It has its flaws, but the misty atmosphere of myth, magic, and legend engulfs the viewer throughout the film, and never lets go. It's haunting...

The air is truly filthy, though. I thought last year was bad, but I'm going around with itchy, watery, red eyes looking as though my dog just died.
