Took my daughter to a Panic! at the Disco concert a few weeks ago. That song played between opening acts and Panic! The teens sang along and waved their phones and swayed side to side. Another older person sitting across the aisle from me gave me the and I did too.

That album leads with Hash Pipe and the second track is Island in the Sun which I always was a funny juxtaposition to start an album.

It is a station on the satellite radio. There was even a really poorly produced web series that can be found that was just very very bizarre. I never knew about this genre until I was in a local pizza joint and they had the Yacht Rock station playing and I asked the guy about it.
