Oh sure, it's fun to watch him chase his own tail for 20 minutes, and to have him purring in his sleep when he sits on my lap. I get amazed when he's frantically playing w/ his toy mouse and 10 seconds later he's fast asleep.
But I forgot that I have to make sure he's not under my chair when I take it out of recline-mode. I forgot that I have to watch where I step when I'm walking around the kitchen. I forgot that kittens attack your feet and hands when you're in bed trying to sleep.
I imagine that by the time I get used to it again, he won't be a kitten anymore.

(2,191 posts)A few years later, I got another cat and had gotten completely out of the habit of moving things up higher so he'd stay out of them. Extremely senior kitty had spent most of his time sleeping on his heating pad!

(14,133 posts)Its mama was unable to feed it (I think the extremely high temperatures contributed to that) and it came crying to us one day when we were walking into the house. We have been supplementing and feeding it kitten food for about a month.
It is now running in circles at breakneck speed as I type. Very active kitten.
