You know the game: your Secret Porn Star Name is your first pet as your first name, followed by the street on which you grew up.
My first pet was a black cat with yellow eyes named Jasmine. The house we lived in when I was a child was Demaret Street. Hence my Secret Porn Star Name:
Jasmine Dupont.
Pretty porny, right? Ive never met anyone who could top it. Until last night.
I was drinking with some friends and a guy Ive known for more than 25 years announced his. Ive heard him talk about his first dog before, Smokey, and after he mentioned the street name, I remembered that he had discussed it in the past, so I know he didnt make it up:
SMOKEY PORTAL
That beats my name, hands down!
How about it, DU? Can anyone beat Smokey Portal?

(6,261 posts)Just saying. A lot of these online games are simply trawling for information like that.

(115,755 posts)and had so many reptilian first pets that I can't remember all their names. Those would be useless security questions for me because I'd never be able to remember which names I used.

(6,261 posts)I never really had a "hometown", for example, because we moved every year and I only spent 3 months in the city of my birth. "Favourite Movie" or "Favourite Book" don't work because I'll probably never answer that question the same way twice, and "Favourite Teacher" doesn't work because I hated all them.

(Caution, contains auto-play video)
(WXYZ) - Those fun, seemingly innocent Facebook quizzes may be setting you up to be hacked, cyber experts warn.
The quizzes sometimes ask for personal information in order to generate things such as your "porn name," or "NASCAR" name.
One quiz 10News saw online asked for the street you grew up on and the name of your first pet. The combined answers made up a person's "porn name." However, the answers to both questions are common security questions online. Many might even use those answers as passwords.
