I gotta have some good tunes going. What's your go to cleaning music?
Today, mine is Paula Cole, "Postcards from East Oceanside".
A couple of favorites......Feelin' Love (and you can dance with the vacuum cleaner to it).

(182,826 posts)Last night at Ft. Knox basic training. They let us recollect our walkmans and tapes. I put a set together and the only tape I could find that wasn't god awful hairband crap was the B-52s.
I was determined we were getting out of therethe next day. I finally hit the rack at 2am after listening to that album I have no idea how many times.
Really good album.

Control-Z
(15,682 posts)with a bunch of upbeat songs a few years back. It had Queen, Boston, Kansas, Steppenwolf, SuperTramp, ELO, and more.
So my son has a band and somehow it got mixed in with the CDs they brought with them on their first tour. He called me from the road to tell me that my "cleaning mix" had become their go to driving music!! Damn, it really was such a great mix even my son and his Indie music band members loved it. I don't know what happened to it. It's been a few years since I saw it last.
And, yeah. I had to stop cleaning.
On a side note (haha), my son called me on Tuesday to tell me that he, his girlfriend and his little sister are taking me to see ELO in LA this Sunday!! ELO is probably my favorite band ever, though, it's a tough choice.

(28,125 posts)Why BTO? Base.
We have 2 huge speakers in the living rm that can vibrate most of the house's floor when BTO is turned up. Somehow it energizes me and this old gal needs all the energy she can get. Those albums go back 45yrs, btw.

(63,221 posts)I do the basic stuff myself, but every few months I need to have someone do the real heavy duty cleaning. I just hate cleaning. I keep the kitchen and bathroom clean, but I don't like doing floors or scrubbing things.
I haven't listened to Paula Cole in ages, but I really like her. She's so talented! Thanks for reminding me of her!

(38,560 posts)Sometimes it's classical. I love Rachmaninoff and Mahler.
Most of the time it's classic rock.
Between December 12 and Christmas it's holiday music.
