(15,245 posts)1. Not exactly I had a pair of tuxedo cats.
When our basement would flood they would play with water streams off the sump pump drain hose. They would both get in the bath tub for a bath. We have had many cats over the years. I have not seen such since but would not say never.

I'm not sure if people understand that the water is recirculated in those things.
In one case, a woman took all the necessary precautions when changing her baby at the splash pad except one.
She took the baby to an area outside the play area, changed the baby and disposed of the dirty diaper in the waste receptacle, Mr. Robinson said. But then, probably not thinking, she washed her hands in the splash pad water.
People dont understand this is a recirculating system. Our splash pad has 5,000 gallons of water that are constantly recirculating, even when the splash pad is not in use, Mr. Robinson said.

My cat wont even walk on a wet spot on the carpet. She HATES water. If I ever get a kitten Im going to acclimate it to water.
