You Can Own the Aston Martin DB5 from 007's GoldenEye
The authentic Bond-driven Aston will be auctioned off during Bonhams' Festival of Speed sale in July.

If you've always dreamed of being James Bond, owning this 1965 Aston Martin DB5 used in the 007 film GoldenEye might get you one step closer. The car is
coming up for sale during Bonhams' Goodwood Festival of Speed sale, and you should buy it.
Welcome to You Must Buy, our daily look at the cars you really should be buying instead of that boring commuter sedan.
This car starred in the opening scenes of the 1995 movie, driven through the Moncaco hills by James Bond (Pierce Brosnan) as he pursued Xenia Onatopp (Famke Janssen), an assassin, driving a Ferrari F355. It was Brosnan's first Bond film, and the first time a DB5 was used in a 007 movie since the days of Sean Connery. The opening scene can be watched here in its entirety.
After filming wrapped, the car was used as a promotional tool for the film and for the then-newly launched
DB7. It was then sold to collector Max Reid for $200,000 in 2001, making it the most expensive piece of Bond memorabilia ever, according to Bonhams. It's since been put on display at the National Motor Museum in the UK and the Bond in Motion exhibition at the Covent Garden in London.
The car
will cross the auction block on Friday, July 13th, 2018, during the Goodwood Festival of Speed during Bonhams' event. The auction house estimates the car will sell for somewhere between £1.2 million and £1.6 million (around $1.6 million and $2.1 million). For comparison, the DB5 driven by Sean Connery in GoldFinger
sold for a staggering $4.6 million in 2010. Judging by that metric, we'd say this Brosnan car is a bargain.
If you're a Bond superfan with money to burn, this could be your only chance to own an authentic 007 car.
