Happy birthday, Joey Molland and Nils Lofgren.

Joey Molland

Joseph Charles "Joey" Molland (born 21 June 1947, Edge Hill, Liverpool) is an English composer and rock guitarist whose recording career spans five decades. He is best known as a member of Badfinger, the most successful of the acts he performed with. Molland is the last surviving member from the band's classic line-up. He currently lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

From Straight Up, a sensational album:

Day After Day (Badfinger song)

"Day After Day" is a song by the British rock band Badfinger from their 1971 album Straight Up. It was written by Pete Ham and produced by George Harrison, who also plays slide guitar on the recording. The song was issued as a single and became one of Badfinger's biggest hits, charting at number 4 in the United States and earning gold accreditation from the Recording Industry Association of America.

I just can't stop listening to Badfinger:

For our second honoree:

Nils Lofgren

Nils Hilmer Lofgren (born June 21, 1951) is an American rock musician, recording artist, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. Along with his work as a solo artist, he has been a member of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band since 1984, a member of Crazy Horse (1970–1971; 1973; 2018-present), and founder/frontman of the band Grin. Lofgren was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the E Street Band in 2014.

This has to be Nils Lofgren's most often heard tune:

Okay, here's a real tune:

You can feel George Harrison's talent on Day After Day. Nils Lofgren has played with so many people/groups that it is amazing. What at talent.
