Finally got out to see this yesterday - it was a lot of fun, like the first movie. I only glanced at reviews going in and I had thought it was going to be all comedy, but it did have some serious and emotional moments as well.
Make sure you stay for the 2 post credit scenes.
Zazie Beetz was terrific as Domino - hope she can get her own movie down the road. "Luck isn't a superpower!" - she almost stole the movie from heavyweights Reynolds and Brolin.
Loved that Deadpool got a comment about Josh Brolin as Thanos in there.
The X-Force parachuting out to the rescue was great - didn't realize this till afterwards, but I guess Brad Pitt was The Vanisher. He only appeared for a second or two as he died. Matt Damon had a cameo as a redneck. Probably need to rewatch as there were a few other cameos. The X-Force movie with
Colossus seems to get his ass kicked a lot - the Gina Carano character in the first movie and Juggernaut this time out.

Domino was great! Absolute stand out performance.
In addition to Damon as a redneck, Alan Tudyk played the second redneck.

(6,709 posts)sparked a memory: in Ringworld Larry Niven posited that humankind's principle reason for survival (our species' "talent" was just that: blind luck.
p.s. not much of a fan of comic book movies, but I enjoyed this one

(6,709 posts)which is as good a reason as any to go to a movie.
Dr. Strange
(25,922 posts)It would be tough to do a comedy like Deadpool. But coming off of Deadpool, it would seem weird for it to be a serious movie.
Decisions, decisions.

(56,828 posts)they're making an X-Force movie and she's one of the 3 announced stars along with Ryan Reynolds and Josh Brolin. So, her part will probably be bigger.
Maybe if that does well, they'll move on to a solo movie for just her?
Dr. Strange
(25,922 posts)Give her another appearance in something like X-Force, and you can transition to a solo movie.
