I've only seen a No Spoilers thread so far.
The first Avengers movie was the first superhero movie that really worked for me that had multiple heroes in it.
Age of Ultron, however, was a lot weaker than the first Avengers movie.
I think Infinity War mostly worked -
The humor was very good - Star Lord and Thor, or Thor calling Rocket a "Rabbit" instead of raccoon was funny as well, and Hulk being afraid to face Thanos...
There were some great action sequences as well - Hulk vs Thanos and then the Guardians, Spidey, Dr. Strange and Iron Man vs Thanos stood out, as well as the big battle in Wakanda.
The death of Gamora was pretty emotional.
I did think that some of the heroes without earth shaking superpowers did get a bit overshadowed - Capt America, Black Widow, Okoye, and even Black Panther - as opposed to Thor, Hulk, Spider-Man, Iron Man and a few
In case you didn't know it, the signal Nick Fury sent out at the end was to Captain Marvel, whom Marvel movie mogul Kevin Feige says is the most powerful hero in the Marvel universe. I assume she isn't one of the half that were vaporized?
Captain Marvel in ten months and Infinity War 2 in twelve months now.

(59,092 posts)1. It was hard watching Gamkra literally dragged off the cliff. Too similar to a domestic violence scene for my tastes.
2. I Avengers 4 will be mostly cosmic and well get Nova, Warlock and/or Silver Surfer (depending on where the Disney/Fox deal stands.
3. Thor and Rocket stole the movie.
4. Best characters performance ms were Thanos, Thor, Rocket, Gamora, Scarlet Witch, Dr. Strange and Iron Man.

(47,953 posts)I mean, Doesn't Wakanda, with all their tech prowess, have a super weapon that can wipe out the hordes of monsters in a flash? Spears, seriously?
War Machine at least had some sort of canister bombs that were effective.
Hulk seemed wimpified these last couple of movies (including the last Thor movie). No longer the primal force he once seemed to be.
I thought Loki's death wasn't well handled. He seems like the sort to be more subtle than a quick attack.
But overall, it was entertaining.

(56,828 posts)you'd think they'd at least be able to provide them with more air support - I mean, I'm pretty sure the Dr. Watson/Bilbo Baggins guy didn't shoot down the entire Wakanda air force in Black Panther

(56,828 posts)the individual deaths (Loki & Gamora mainly) affected me a lot more than the mass die-off at the end because I know it's just too big to let stand on a permanent basis. I just couldn't suspend my disbelief for it.

(5,042 posts)That last fucking smug look to the camera.

(59,092 posts)He had Zoe Saldana played the cliff scene too well that my stomach turned as Thanos dragged Gamora to the edge.

(5,042 posts)That his vision had come true and than he wiped out trillions of life forms in one closed fist and feels bliss about it. It is in many ways one of the most frightening moments in movie history, perfectly capturing what true evil is. They didn't need the cliche of him laughing manically like you saw back in the old days of comics and sci-fi films.
Of course, killing his daughter and then acting like it gives him some sort of right to mourn because he "had" to do it is why he's a great villain. He actually justifies everything he does as some sort of great hardship to himself to "do what's right".
