He and his fellow Beatlemaniacs (in high school at the time) used to play Beatles songs.

He and his friends once had a photo taken of them, imitating the Abbey Road album cover (lots of those at the time).

Sir Paul attemded the Harvard-Yale game last November at the Yale Bowl (his grandson is a freshman at Yale). I was there, too but didn't see him (wish I had) but a New Haven cop told me he was there. Malia Obama was there, too (she's a freshman at Harvard). There were a bunch of NHPD's finest there.

If I ever win the lottery!

The Beatles were such a huge part of my growing up. It always amazes me that there are people in my generation who don't know every lyric to every song on every album.

"Her mother recalled how the Beatles were always a family institution, starting from the time they gathered to watch their first United States appearance. “I was 9, and I remember seeing them on ‘Ed Sullivan,’” Marcia said. “My father said, ‘What do you think about those haircuts?’”

This could be me. I was 9 when the Beatles made their first appearance on "The Ed Sullivan Show" and my mother even asked what we thought of their hair! Although I could hardly say they were a "family institution" since any kind of music my sister and I liked was automatically dreadful according to my parents.

Little Richard and the guy that used to bust up guitars in his act...I think it was Jerry Lee Lewis...

It was an interesting time in music...

Look at Led Zeppelin, the Stones ..... The Beatles looked like choirboys in comparison!

My parents had such a thing about long hair! And Beatle hair in the early years wasn't that long at all!

during a 2 week trip to England/Scotland. Riding down Menlove Avenue, walking down Mathew Street and visiting Cavern Walks and strolling down Penny Lane are memories I return to time and again.

My grandson Jack will grow up immersed in Beatle music, I am sure. He will be as big a fan as my son is.

The Beatles live on...
