I want to thank the guy driving a Dodge Caravan

Was on my way to the 7-11 to get some chips and pop when I hit a section of road construction. I saw the "merge left" sign but didn't want to get stuck in the backed up traffic so I thought I'd take a chance that I could squeeze in further ahead and I kept in my lane. Thankfully, a good Samaritan driving a Dodge Caravan let me and several others merge so I got to the 7-11 in no time at all even with the road construction!

Yes I noticed her. People like her bug the hell out of me as they only think of themselves! She probably didn't give a damn that I had a great craving for Lays potato chips and Pepsi.

Hope she's okay. I mean foaming at the mouth and all. And having Stairway to Heaven blasting from her stereo can not be good for the hearing.

a joke. Ira Henderson became the 56th employee for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation to die in the line of duty when he was hit and killed by a driver on November 30, 2011.

Here is the story of what happened to Ira that day.

No one thinks putting state transportation workers at risk is a joke. Sorry if you didn't see the original thread.

This is the lounge and I will joke about a lot of things here that I might not in a "more serious" group/forum.

Nobody was suggesting it's funny for anyone to die. You are the one that brought that into this joke thread that had nothing to do with anyone getting killed.

And that was kind of a dick thing to do bro.

serious consequences do occur when you have careless drivers. Properly prepared work zone traffic control layouts give more then adequate notice to the driving public of the closure of lanes up ahead. The idiots who refuse to get over into the appropriate lane because they just have to get to their destination can easily cause the incidents that cause the loss of life for both construction workers and other drivers. It is extremely dangerous to work on a highway and the rate of pay doesn't really match the level of danger they face on a daily basis.

My current car is too small to cover two lanes. And too nice to risk getting into an accident.
